Entry Requirements

  • A level programme minimum criteria: 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English Language and Maths.
  • Vocational programme criteria: 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4, ideally with English Language and Maths.
  • You will also need to meet subject-specific criteria for individual subjects.
  • For most subjects offered at A level, you will be expected to achieve a minimum of a grade 5: however, some subjects will require higher grades.
  • The opportunity to re-sit English OR Maths will be available and compulsory for students who have not achieved a grade equivalent to grade 4.

All students who apply are invited to attend a one-to-one course placement meeting with a member of the Sixth Form Admissions Team. In this meeting, you will be given the opportunity to discuss your current progress, Sixth Form subject choices and future aspirations. An offer of a place in the Sixth Form will be issued following the meeting, if you meet our entry requirements. You will be able to finalise your course placement in a one-to-one course placement meeting with our specialist team of student support advisors, which will take place after you have received your GCSE results. At any point leading up to this date, please continue to discuss with us any questions or issues which you might have.
