Andy joined Ridgewood School in September 2021. As Deputy Headteacher, Andy leads on: Quality of Education, Sixth Form and Reading and literacy. Andy is very proud of all of our students and staff, and ambitious for the future of Ridgewood School. He looks forward to working with students, staff, parents, governors and other community members to ensure Ridgewood is an incredibly successful school at the heart of the community.
Ed joined Ridgewood School as Deputy Headteacher (Inclusion) in June 2026. He has worked in Doncaster secondary education since 2002, undertaking a range of roles including Teacher of History, Head of Year, Head of Department, SENDCo and Assistant Headteacher.
Ed later moved into the role of Inclusion Executive Lead within Leger Education Trust and currently works across both Ridgewood School and the Trust, supporting inclusive practice at a strategic level.
He is excited and proud to have the opportunity to work alongside and support the Ridgewood community, continuing to strengthen and develop inclusive provision for all students.
Michelle joined Ridgewood School in 2001 as a Teacher of Design and Technology and has progressed through many varied roles in the school. She has led the Technology department, been a Faculty Lead, Careers Lead and, for a number of years been Assistant Head teacher responsible for Curriculum, Personal Development and lead for the sixth form. Michelle is currently the pastoral leader for KS4 and leads on Admissions (KS4), Post 16 Transition and Alternative Provision. She is proud to have spent over 20 years dedicated to working with Ridgewood students and their families, staff, employers and the community.
Nicola has worked in Doncaster secondary schools for over twenty years and has taught at Ridgewood School since 2019. Her first role at Ridgewood was as a Lead Practitioner of English and KS5 English lead. Currently, Nicola is an Assistant Headteacher with specific responsibility for Teaching & Learning, Professional Development and New Teachers (ITTs and ECTs). She, very much, still enjoys her own classroom teaching and developing other members of staff to be the best they can for our students. Finally, she enjoys all aspects of teaching and learning and loves the opportunity to improve her knowledge of evidence-based practice.
James joined Ridgewood School in January 2026. He has worked in education for over 15 years, holding various roles and responsibilities including Head of Year, Head of Key Stage and Curriculum Leader. He is currently the Assistant Headteacher for KS3, leading on admissions, alternate provision, attendance and behaviour. James is passionate about empowering students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. He is very proud to have joined Ridgewood School and support the community.

Alison has been a dedicated member of the Ridgewood School community since 2012. She initially joined the school as curriculum lead for KS5 Humanities, progressing to a Curriculum Leader and subsequently Head of Faculty.
In September 2022, Alison took on the role of Assistant Headteacher, with a specific focus on Personal Development. Passionate about supporting students beyond the confines of the classroom, her work actively encourages participation in extracurricular activities, student leadership opportunities, and experiences outside of the classroom. Alison believes in educating the whole child, emphasising the importance of personal growth alongside academic achievement and she looks forward to continuing with this over the next year.
Currently, Alicia is the SENDCo, where she is committed to ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed. She is passionate about helping students to thrive both in school and beyond, and works closely with staff, students, and families and external agencies to achieve this. Alicia also plays a key role in supporting and training staff to ensure high-quality provision for all learners.
Alicia is proud to be part of the Ridgewood community and looks forward to continuing her work in supporting every student to reach their full potential.

Dale joined Ridgewood School in 2020 as a Teacher of Mathematics and has since progressed through a number of roles, including Lead Teacher for Maths across the whole school setting and Curriculum Leader of Mathematics. In May 2026, Dale became an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Achievement, leading on KS3 and KS4 data analysis and reporting, and the Y9 Guided Choices process.
Above all, Dale’s favourite part of the day is being in the classroom. He is passionate about ensuring every student has a positive experience of every subject and leaves Ridgewood ready to thrive in whatever comes next.
Vicky joined Ridgewood School in February 2026 and has worked in education for four years. Prior to this, she has over 18 years of experience in business.
The Operations Manager role is a busy and varied one which involves ensuring the support functions of the school are running smoothly. Vicky oversees HR, health and safety, catering and premises across the school. With lots of changes being made to the school site, Vicky is thrilled to have joined Ridgewood School at such an exciting time.
Nicole is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. She oversees the Validus Wellbeing Centre and leads the Safeguarding Team and school Counsellors. Nicole is passionate about supporting student wellbeing. With 17 years of experience in education, Nicole has brought a wealth of knowledge about inclusion to Ridgewood School since starting with us in 2018.
Nicole also serves the wider community, liaising with external services to provide a broad range of support for both students and their families.
Rob has worked at Ridgewood since 2022 having previously held various roles across secondary and SEN schools. Having moved into the senior leadership as Senior Leader (Student Engagement), his main roles include student praise and rewards, careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG), Y10 Work Experience and Y12 Internships. Rob looks forward to continuing to support students with work experience and student leadership opportunities.
Niki has worked for Leger Education Trust for over 20 years. Niki has held various leadership roles at other schools within the trust, including Head of Health and Social Care and Child Development, Vocational Lead and Head of Sixth Form. Niki began her journey at Ridgewood in 2023 when she became the Post 16 Transition Lead for the Trust. Niki's passion and expertise lies within Sixth Form, and in 2025, she became the Head of our growing Sixth Form at Ridgewood, and has now taken on the role of Associate Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Sixth Form.
As Associate Assistant Headteacher for Sixth Form, Niki is committed to supporting students both academically and personally, helping them to achieve their aspirations and prepare successfully for their next steps, whether that be university, apprenticeships, or employment. She is passionate about providing high-quality opportunities and guidance that enables every student to reach their full potential and thrive in a supportive and ambitious sixth form community.
Alex joined the school in 2016 as a Teacher of English and has since held a number of leadership roles within the department, including Key Stage 5 English Lead, Key Stage 4 English Lead, Deputy Curriculum Leader for English, and Acting Curriculum Leader for English. She currently serves as Associate Assistant Headteacher for English and Foundational Skills.
A passionate advocate for English Language and Literature, Alex is dedicated to helping students develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation of reading, writing, and critical thinking. In her leadership role, she is committed to ensuring that all students secure the foundational literacy skills that underpin success across the curriculum and equip them for future education, employment, and life beyond school.
Giorgia joined Ridgewood School in September 2023, having previously held the position of Assistant Curriculum Lead for English. Since joining the school, she has worked as Lead Practitioner of Evidence-Informed Practice before taking on her current role as Associate Assistant Headteacher for Professional Development. Giorgia is passionate about ensuring all staff have access to high-quality professional development, enabling them to continually refine their practice and deliver quality-first teaching. She is committed to fostering a culture of learning and excellence that benefits both staff and students.
