GCE / L3 Results Day – Thursday 14 August 2025
GCSE / L2 Results Day – Thursday 21 August 2025
Year 11 students will receive an individual collection time for their results. This is to ensure we can efficiently enrol students into Post 16 and to provide support and guidance with other pathways.
Students who are expecting results will not be able to obtain them until at least 8am on the relevant day – no results can be released before this time. Year 12 students may collect their unit or qualification grades (selected qualifications only) on 14 August. Alternatively, these can be obtained when those students return in September.
Results can only be given to the student in person and will not be communicated over the telephone to the student or to any other people, including parents. Exam boards will also not be able to issue or discuss results over the telephone. If a student wishes to nominate another person to collect their results instead, the student needs to complete a third-party collection form and give it to the nominated person (link available below). Results cannot be issued to any other individuals without permission from the student.
We hope to be able to email results to the student’s Ridgewood School email address later in the day, however the priority will be for staff to deal with student queries in school. Students are strongly advised to forward their results email to an alternative, personal email address for future reference, as Ridgewood email accounts may be closed once students have left.
Results are always provisional and are subject to change by the exam boards until the final certificates are issued.
Certificates for 2025 leavers will be available to collect from Main School Reception from December 2025. Certificates for current/returning students can be obtained from Post 16 reception. Students who did not take their exams at Ridgewood, or are registered with another school, may need to collect their certificates from their original school (please contact us if you think this is the case).
Certificates must be collected and signed for by the student in person. If this is not possible, a third-party collection form must be completed by the student and given to a nominated person. We do not post certificates due to the very high cost of replacement, should they go missing.
If you believe you have not collected your certificates from previous years, use the ‘contact us’ button and we will be able to check for you. Please do not visit the school to enquire about older certificates as they are in secure storage and may not be available immediately.
Lost/misplaced examination certificates
It is vitally important to keep your certificates safe once collected. We do not keep copies, and exam boards will charge around £50 per certificate to obtain a replacement. Uncollected certificates from previous years may not be held by the school, as we are required by the regulations to retain them only for a period of 12 months. If you require replacement certificates, you must contact the relevant exam board(s) as we are unable to progress this on your behalf. Further information on how to proceed can be found here; www.gov.uk/replacement-exam-certificate.
Please get in touch with the exams office via the enquiry form on our Contact Us page, should you have any further questions.
