Upcoming STEM Careers Talks
Upcoming events aim to demystify careers opportunities in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics industries.

Open to all Year 10 – 13 students, the upcoming talks will provide students with a valuable opportunity to engage with successful STEM role models from differing career backgrounds.
Each session will run from 3:15 to 4:00 pm on the following Tuesdays:
- 28th September - Emma Wilson, Masters in Chemistry research student at the University of Leeds. Emma has recently completed an industrial year at GlaxoSmithKline. Her talk will cover applications to STEM courses, the world of pharmaceutical research and tips for students hoping to work in science.
- 16th November - Katherine Richards, lawyer with a Graduate Diploma (GDL) and Masters LLM from the University of Law. Prior to this Katherine studied Biomedical Sciences and is graduate from the University of Sheffield. Her talk will cover her experiences studying STEM, as well as the transferable skills she gained from a STEM education that have enabled her to succeed in law. This talk would be suitable for students not taking STEM subjects who are interested in a career in law as well as STEM students.
