Stage Invasion event - revised programme

Students can still take part in Stage Invasion - online demos welcome

The Stage Invasion initiative is a partnership between Higher Rhythm and Doncaster Music Education Hub. It is aimed at supporting young people into the live music industry. Last year, a whopping 425 people turned up to The Dome in Doncaster to see ten young bands playing live at the first event in July 2019.

This year, in light of the current COVID-19 restrictions placed on live music events, the organisers of Stage Invasion are offering young songwriters (aged 14-19) the opportunity to submit demo versions of songs that they have composed and recorded at home. The expert team will then work remotely with young songwriters to develop their music and share it across radio and digital media platforms.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 12 June.

If you would like some support with your song before submitting please email using the subject 'Stage Invasion Songwriting'. They will then arrange a short tutorial with one of the team to help you out. Remember, they’re interested in hearing your own original song, not a cover version!

Full details including the online entry form are available via the Higher Rhythm website.
