Year 9 discover healthcare careers
Students explore science career paths
As a reward for all their hard work in science this year, Year 9 students were treated to a workshop outlining the hundreds of different healthcare careers available to them in the NHS.
The students were excited and inspired by the wide range of different careers on offer. During the workshop they were able to take blood from a fake arm, record their own ECG, try keyhole surgery, see inside their body with an ultrasound machine and take a picture of the inside of their eye. Students really enjoyed the whole experience.
We are looking forward to continuing to raise their awareness of the careers available in the world of science over the next academic year.
