More golf success for Jack

Local and national successes recorded for Jack on the golf course.

Earlier this year, we reported on Jack Whaley's impressive results in golf competitions locally and regionally. He has now started to shine on a national stage, and is already competing against an international field.

This summer, Jack was chosen to represent Yorkshire Schools in the English Schools U16 championship at Thetford in Norfolk. Facing the best golfers from across the country, Jack held his nerve under pressure and finished in third place with a score of 4 over par.

As a result of this outstanding performance, he qualified for the English U14 Boys Open, a prestigious competition with international entries from South Africa, Portugal, Scandinavia and Germany.

As well as his Schools competitions, Jack also found time to sucessfully defend his Yorkshire U14 title in Knaresborough, winning with a final score of just 2 over par.

On the back of this run of success, Jack has been selected as part of the Yorkshire Boys A squad. Being part of this U18 squad is another milestone, as Jack is the youngest member of the team.

Most recently, Jack successfully defended his Sheffield Union U18 Match Play title.

Congratulations to Jack for his continued run of form, and we look forward to sharing further news of his victories with you in the future.
