Daniel wows media team at Doncaster Rovers

Ridgewood Sixth Form student Daniel Breslin's work at Doncaster Rovers FC is ensuring that his career in journalism looks set to be a huge success!

At the end of last month, Daniel was invited by Doncaster Rovers to assist with the media coverage of the FA Youth Cup at the Keepmoat Stadium. This honour guaranteed Daniel pitch side access, as well as access to the press box, from where he reported on the U18 team's 4-3 win over Walsall. During the match, he was given full control of social media (all of his social media work is on Twitter at @drfc_academy) as well as being able to lead the post-match press conferences on the pitch. The interviews (Daniel spoke to Paul Stancliffe and Myron Gibbons) can be seen here.

It seems that Daniel more than held his own on the evening and wowed the team at Doncaster Rovers. The media manager was so impressed with his work that, even though it was initially voluntary, he has now offered to pay Daniel, as well as giving him a free Doncaster Rovers polo t-shirt and offering him a full week of work experience during the half term holiday!
Congratulations to Daniel for this impressive achievement, and look out for more of his media work with Doncaster Rovers in the future...
