Jack tees up for golf success

Jack's tournament wins this summer have set new records in the golf world.

Jack Whaley is certainly an impressive golfer, but this summer has truly cemented his reuptation as one to watch in the future as he beat players five years his senior in prestigious tournaments.
During the summer holidays, Jack played in the Yorkshire Junior Championships at Shipley Golf Club in West Yorkshire. Over the tournament's two rounds, Jack showed his class to record impressive scores of 77 and 78, which saw him become the Yorkshire U14 Champion. Jack was thrilled to receive the salver from Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs President, Alistair McKenzie.

Straight off the back of this success, Jack played in the Sheffield Union U14 Championships at Phoenix Golf Club in Rotherham. Not content with one win for the summer, Jack again was successful and won this event too!
Determined to show that his exceptional run of form from the summer was not yet over, just this month Jack played in the Sheffield Golf Union Junior Matchplay Finals. Another win was, of course, inevitable, as Jack's talent and determination shone through! This junior matchplay event is open to all Sheffield golfers aged 18 and under so Jack's success at the age of just 13 means he is the youngest ever winner.
We look forward to hearing about Jack's future golfing successes as he makes his presence known in the sport.
