After studying at Ridgewood, some students may wish to take up an apprenticeship. This is a job with training which allows you to earn while you learn, whilst gaining nationally recognised qualifications. Most of the training is delivered in the work place, with an element of ‘off the job’ training which usually takes place with a training provider or at a college. Anyone over the age of 16 and not in full time education can apply. Apprenticeships are increasingly being recognised as the gold standard for work based learning. There are over 250 different industries to choose from with more than 1,400 different job roles and up to 15,000 vacancies available at any one time.
