Supporting Next Steps
An update on the progress of our sixth-form students applying for university and higher apprenticeships in 2021/22
Monday 21st December
Students started to work on their personal statements during the first lockdown when they were in Year 12. On their return in September, they continued to work with their Personal Tutors and the Learning Mentors to finalise their UCAS applications.
It is fantastic to now be hearing Year 13 students celebrating the offers they have been receiving from universities they have applied to. The subjects they have chosen to study in Post 16 are allowing them to go on and further develop their interests in a wide variety of courses including: Accounting and Finance, Aerospace Engineering, Business and Economics, Business Management, Business Management with Marketing, English Language and Linguistics, Family Health/Social Work, Film and Television, Flood and Coastal Engineering, Forensic Science, Health and Human/Social Sciences, History and English, History and Politics, International Relations, Korean International Relations, Law, Management Leadership, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry, Paramedic, Police and Investigations, Psychology, Quantity Surveying, Real Estate, Social Work, Sociology, Sociology.
Students are also being supported in their applications for Higher Apprenticeships. We can’t wait to hear their success stories in the New Year.
