Reverse advent calendar produces Christmas hamper for 10I!
10I have prepared a hamper of goodies to take to a local food bank.
During December, many children and adults alike are excited about the prospect of an advent calendar, especially one which produces a chocolate to enjoy every day. Students in 10I took the idea of an advent calendar and reversed it, in order to help others over the festive period.
Each day in December, rather than taking a treat for themselves, a different student has brought in an item to add to the hamper, creating a wide variety of food and drinks to help out a family in need over Christmas. Students have shown thoughtfulness and generosity and have filled several boxes with goodies to be donated to a local food bank when school breaks up today.
Thank you to 10I for thinking of others first, and to their form tutor Mrs Mitchell for co-ordinating the hamper.
