Opus 100 has launched!
When is it?
Every Wednesday, 3:45-5:00pm
Our Opus 100 ensemble workshops started on Wednesday 1st February. We warmly welcomed all the students coming from our local primary schools and we are sure that they and their peers at Ridgewood are already enjoying the Opus 100 scheme.
Year 7 Opus students are on brass (trumpet, trombone) and woodwind (saxophone, clarinet), and play alongside cello and double bass players.
Opus 100 participants are involved in a range of music and team building exercises and vocal skills, as well as developing their understanding of music theory in an interactive way. This is all led by our specialist Opus 100 staff. We believe that the children develop academically through this scheme as well expanding their ‘network’ and meeting new friends from other primary schools and eventually mixing with students from different year groups.
What do Opus 100 participants need to bring?
- Their instrument!
- Some change for the tuck shop
- A pencil
